Leaving my beloved Orkney, my beautiful views, my lovely friends and packing up my successful Holistic Therapy business was probably one of the hardest things I have had to do for a very long time! Orkney was always going to be a temporary home for myself and Mr Dalziel however very quickly, I felt like I really belonged to this incredibly beautiful island and leaving was heartbreaking.
Building a successful business takes a great deal of commitment and I gave it that in spadefuls!
I built a great business in The Hygge Clinic, working alongside a number of talented therapists, offering a huge range of different therapies and I was fortunate to have a loyal client base! I take pride in knowing my clients leave feeling relaxed and delighted with the results of the treatments they had enjoyed in lovely surroundings!
It is easy to be committed to something you truly believe in and so here we go again, a new home, a new place, a new opportunity!
After the Hygge Clinic in Kirkwall, my hopes and dreams of finding a similar working environment were challenging!
Elaine, one of the lovely “Little Birds” from Three Little Birds Collective” in Doune contacted me about an opportunity that had arisen in her premises (we had been in touch previously about another opportunity), I went along to meet all three “Little Birds” - the highly talented Carina Rose, hairdresser, make up artist and up and coming fashion designer, the gorgeous Leigh from Beauty by Leigh for all your Beauty needs, from fabulous nails to waxing and wow brows to Spray tans and facials, and of course Elaine, from Pretty Little Flowers, stunning Wedding Flowers! I was immediately excited and the premises were exactly right for me!
Move forward a month, which included moving house, a family holiday and a trip to Croatia 🇭🇷 for my other passion, being a life long Girl Guide, where I was privileged to be part of the volunteer team leading the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts European Conference, tomorrow I get the keys to my new premises and I can’t contain my excitement!
It is going to be a busy 10 days but I am up for the challenge whilst I transform this great room into a haven for total relaxation for you - my lovely clients!
